This is the method of acquiring the shape and size of an object as a 3-dimensional representation by recording x , y, z coordinates on the object’s surface and through software converting the collection of points into digital data. Here at ATC we work with ATOS ScanBox. 3D scanning is typically used for reverse-engineering and non-destructive testing, as well as verification of the part geometry. Maximum dimension of the scanned product is 500x500x500 mm and weight is up to 100 kg.
Service includes:
- Consultation
- Preparation of the object and 3D scanning of the object
- Processing of the received data: merging of surfaces into a single 3D model, correction of the received model according to your wishes (e.g. structure overlay)
- Optimise the model for subsequent 3D printing
- Transfer the model in the format you need (OBJ, PLY, WRL, STL, AOP, ASCII, PTX, E57, XYZRGB, CSV, DXF, XML).
